Sustainability and HyGge&WyLD

HyGge&WyLD is run from the homestead, with the help of my partner and our little mutley crew of pooches. We have kept everything small and in-house, not only to reduce our carbon footprint, but also to give our customers and followers a true, and personal service.

More than just Compostable Packaging

Over the last year we’ve pushed to remove as much plastic from our range (and daily lives) as possible. As much as possible we use recyclable, and compostable packaging to post out orders .. and even our coffee now comes in a compostable bag (just slice off the re-sealable top and vent and you‘re good to go!) ...

I’ve even started up-cycling my old coffee bags as Wheatgrass growers! [see below for my ‘how to’]


Growing Wheatgrass in your old Coffee Bags

Step One ~ Drink lots of coffee!

Step Two ~ Remove the top of the empty coffee bag, and half fill with compost (I add a sprinkling of used coffee grounds too).. then add seeds ... sprinkle with water daily and before you know it....

… Boom! Wheatgrass!!

[You can also sprout the seeds first, by wrapping them in a damp paper towels for a couple of days.. I’ve tried both methods, and they work equally as well]
