Going Green

So here it is, my HyGge&WyLD smoothie recipe.. the perfect start to the day (post HyGge&WyLD coffee of course).

In my last post I told you about my recent love of upcycling my used compostable coffee bags in to Wheatgrass growers. Since then I’ve been adding my harvest to my morning smoothies.

There’s something so Hygge about taking the time to make a proper cup of coffee, then upcycling the bags, and nurturing the seeds.. watching them grow.. before turning the crop in to a healthy drink.

Scroll down for my recipe ..

Ingredients ~

One banana

A handful of blueberries

A cup of milk (I use Oat milk)

A few spoons of natural Yoghurt (I use Skyr)

A spoonful of Spirulina (I use Naturya)

A spoonful of wheatgrass (finely chopped to stop the blender snagging)

And any additional seeds/berries (I use Naturya super berry mix)

- Blend and throw in a couple of ice cubes for a yummy, healthy morning kick.

Wheatgrass ~ a detoxing Superfood rich in chlorophyll, vitamins and minerals ~ said to help reduce toxins, help with digestion, lower cholesterol and blood pressure, and boost the immune system. It is recommended to consume wheatgrass on an empty stomach, and not over-consume.
